Job Summary:
Assists the Laboratory Manager in achieving efficient Laboratory operation by performing clinical tests and assuming limited administrative functions. Supports laboratory testing services by performing specimen collection and processing, quality control and maintenance functions and results reporting and verification. Participates in training and in service programs to maintain and upgrade competency at the level required by the Manager as procedures are changed or added.
Qualifications | Job Requirements:
* Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology (hospital-based formal internship required)
* NYS License as Clinical Laboratory Technologist
* ASCP, NCA or equivalent certification is highly recommended.
