(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Medical Technologist – General – Full-time Medical Technologist needed at a top facility in Minnesota!
MT | CLS or MLT | CLT
40 hours | week = Mon-Fri: 8 hr shift between 6:30 am
The MT understands basic scientific principles and technical elements of laboratory testing and result interpretation, as well as technical, procedural, and problem-solving aspects of pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processes. The MT is capable of performing and interpreting waived, moderate, and high complexity testing, and possesses skills to perform routine phlebotomy for patients of all age groups. The MT interprets quality control values; troubleshoots and resolves QC failures according to predetermined criteria; participates in additional quality assurance activities; operates and maintains laboratory instrumentation. The MT recognizes procedural and technical problems, troubleshoots and takes corrective action according to predetermined criteria, and notifies Supervisor|Manager|Laboratory Medical Director as appropriate.
Requirements: Certified as a Medical Technologist (MT) OR Medical Lab Technician (MLT) through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) prior to start date.
