We are looking for a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our inpatient psychiatry team.
A majority of time will be spent on our 17 bed general psychiatric inpatient unit. The AP will work directly with Psychiatric Medical Director and inpatient psychiatrist.
Responsibilities will include directing the care of patients admitted to our unit, including completing H&P on admission, daily progress notes and discharge planning. This position will be responsible for a case load of approximately 8 9 patients. Proposed schedule will be 7 days on, 7 days off. This is a hospital employed position.
The hospital is the second largest in the state and is licensed for 188 beds. Service area 85,000. Rutland is at the base of the largest ski area in the East.

Salary range is $65K to $115K annually

This position is specifically for a Nurse Practitioner who has proven training as a Psychiatric Mental Health or Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Further, you must have ANCC certification in order for the employer to bill Medicare and Medicaid and most insurers so ANCC certification is a requirement of this position. An FNP without training as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will not be accepted as a candidate for this position.
