(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Acute & Critical Care-NP – An independent, not-for-profit community hospital that is affiliated with Tufts Medical Center and Hallmark Health is seeking an Advance Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join their Intensivist program that provides care to ICU patients.
Job responsibilities include admitting ICU patients from the Emergency Dept. and floors, performing ICU consults, and addressing issues that arise with existing patients in the 2 ICUs. The APP will also respond to any codes within the hospital. The APP will also be expected to perform vascular access procedures (Central lines and A-lines) once appropriately credentialed. While proficiency in such procedures is desirable, it is not necessary as we can provide training in such procedures.
The APP would provide nighttime coverage (from 7P-7A) to ICU patients in collaboration with a dedicated Nocturnist physician provider. The Intensivist program is comprised of Pulmonary|Critical Care Attending Physicians and Fellows, 3 NPs, and 4 PAs providing daytime coverage with a Nocturnist program providing nighttime coverage. The APP hired for this position will be a member of the Intensivist program though would work in collaboration with a physician from the Nocturnist program.
Looking for full time providers but would consider less than full time. A full time position is considered 3, 12-hour shifts including weekend rotation.
APP must have at least 2 years of critical care (Intermediate level or ICU) experience or APPs without critical care experience must have 3 + years ICU RN experience.
