Job Overview
We are seeking a Ob/Gyn
Physician who specializes in women’s reproductive health and pregnancy. Using
appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills, they diagnose and treat a
variety of issues specific to women such as breast cancer, hormonal imbalances
and cervical cancer. As a Physician in an affiliated medical practice, you will
provided medical services to patients in an assigned area. The Ob/Gyn Physician
will coordinate discharge planning with the Case Manager for admitted patients.
Brief Details:
- Accepts
patient referrals from other physicians - Acts
as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require
hospitalization for obstetrical and gynecological diagnoses - Participates
in academic programs, including medical education, resident, student, midlevel
supervision, and research, as requested - Elicits
and records information about patient’s medical history and consult with other
clinicians as needed. - Perform
annual gyn examinations. - Examines
patient to determine general physical condition. - Orders
or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide
information on patient’s condition. - Analyzes
reports and findings of tests and of examination, and diagnoses condition. - Administers
or prescribes treatments and drugs. - Inoculates
and vaccinates patients to immunize patients from communicable diseases - Provide
information about exercise, nutrition and planning pregnancy. - Provide
counseling on diet, hygiene, sexual health and disease prevention. - Provides
prenatal care to pregnant women, delivers babies, and provides postnatal care
to mother and infant. - Deliver
babies by employing the necessary methods to protect the health of the mother
and child. - Reports
births, deaths, and outbreak of contagious diseases to governmental
authorities.
Requirements:
- MD/DO
Physician - Current
Licensure as a Physician in the state of Maryland at date of hire - Completion
of medical school and ACGME residency program - Provides
directions to Medical Assistants
