(Physician/MD qualifications required) Pain Management – Currently Hiring a Physician MD or DO for an interventional pain management private practice.

Competitive compensation of $300,000 to 350,000 annually.
Full loaded benefits package.
No nights or Weekends
Location: Victoria, TX 3 days and Bellaire TX location 2 days per week.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic pain disorders.
Prescribe all necessary medications and decide best course of treatment.
Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients.
Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
Have an in-depth knowledge of the physiology of pain
the ability to evaluate patients with complicated pain problems
understanding of specialized tests for diagnosing painful conditions
appropriate prescribing of medications to varying pain problems
Skills to perform procedures (such as nerve blocks and spinal injections
QUALIFICATIONS:
Board certified or board eligible
Licensed in the state of TX
MD or DO degree from an accredited facility
DEA prescribing privileges
No restrictions on licenses
Good knowledge base of musculo-skeletal pathology and treatment is essential
Must have the ability to relate to patients in chronic pain
Must understand the difference between chronic and acute pain
Expected to coherently explain why increased pain is not necessarily related to increased tissue damage and how deconditioning leads to increased pain and depression
Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
This is a full-time position Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Work at our Victoria office 3 days and our Bellaire office 2 days.
