RN – Emergency Department Job Details Department: Emergency Department Position Description: Registered Nurse Status: PRN – As Needed Shift: Variable Shifts, As Needed Shift Time Schedule: Variable Hours, As Needed Days: Variable Days, As Needed Requirements Education/Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing: Valid Iowa Registered Nurse License. BLS, ACLS, TNCC. Experience: Emergency Department experience required. Position Summary: Provide direct nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process, performs technical nursing functions, and upholds the standards of practice of a professional nurse.Responsibilities Include: Establish safety as a core value; ensure that quality assurance/performance improvement plans promote excellence in patient outcomes; ensure injury prevention education based on identified needs; maintain personnel compliance with regulatory and professional standards; foster interdisciplinary collaborative relationships; oversight of human, fiscal, material and environmental resources. Qualifications Include:Iowa Licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS, Dependent Adult Child Mandatory Reporter. Must complete TNCC CPI within 1 year.
