Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency RoomNight Shift – 12sThe Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for; Planning and coordinating the delivery of quality nursing care for patients in the emergency departments and acute care utilizing the nursing process. Providing and/or delegating care, evaluating the patient response, documentation, and effective communication. Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. Maintaining standards for professional nursing practice. Providing and supervising the delivery of care in the emergency department. Education and/or Experience Graduation from an accredited nursing program Experience in rural hospital nursing preferred Minimum of 6 months in acute care in this facility and ability to perform duties in acute, obstetrical, skilled, and emergency areas of the facility Completion of emergency department orientation program at Melham Medical Center Certificates, Licensure, Registrations Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Louisiana or approved compact state Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required Current completion of Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum course required Current PALS certification preferred General Requirments Demonstrate commitment to the organizational mission, vision, and core values Maintain clinical competency as required for acute, emergency, and trauma patient care including but not limited to age-specific competencies relative growth and developmental needs of all ages of patients Maintains knowledge of federal and state regulations related to nursing applications and relative practice area Facilitates and coordinates nursing care needed for patients utilizing the emergency department Oversees the activities of the emergency department during an assigned period of time, and is responsible for designated management functions Communicates effectively verbally and in writing Supervise, instruct, and evaluate the work of all emergency department, acute patient care, and ancillary staff members Maintain confidentiality of patient information Exercise professional judgment, courtesy, and professionalism in daily interactions with others Establish and maintain effective working relationships with health care team members and diverse patient populations Practice in a fast-paced environment relevant to changing patient needs including work with acute, chronic, complex disease processes, emergency care, and care of those who are dying To take the first step towards finding your new opportunity apply now or reach out to the recruiter listed below: Matt Morgan / Senior / 406.417.3700 MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc 512.795.2000 x51 /
