There is an immediate need for Inpatient Coders. This is a Remote Medical Coding Position dealing with orthopedic coding. EXTREMELY FLEXIBLE HOURS! If you want to work from home, this is for you.
Required Education: RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS or equivalent.
Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience as a coder in a hospital setting with CPT and ICD-9 coding experience. MUST HAVE ORTHOPEDIC CODING EXPERIENCE
SPECIALIZE IN ORTHOPEDICS
Abilities and Knowledge:
Knowledge of software such as Cerner software and optum encoder, Microsoft word, Excel, or other similar word processing.
Proficient in the use of ICD-9-CM, CPT-4, and Optum encoder.
Knowledge of E/M coding.
Analyzes hospital charts for any deficiencies.
Enters all diagnosis and procedure codes on to the Cerner AccessHIM solution and optum Encoder.
