Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Providing the highest quality patient care
Managing all patient care at the center
Supervising all medical staff
Ordering and reading all diagnostic x-rays and labs
Suturing lacerations, draining abscesses and starting IVs
Ensuring medical staff follows proper protocols and conducts patient call backs
Ensuring prescription medication and CLIA approved laboratory compliance
Ensuring center has all the necessary urgent care equipment, supplies and medications
Ensuring accuracy of International Classification of Diseases (ICD) Rev 9|10 codes
Participating in the hiring and training of medical staff
Compiling quality data and addressing with medical staff as needed
Ensuring all charts and medical records are accurately completed in a timely manner
Ensuring patients are discharged with detailed instructions
Ensuring biological specimens are collected and processed in the lab
Adhering to all center policies and procedures
Qualifications
M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) or D.O. (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) degree
Board certified|eligible by the American Board of Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
Active and current medical license in the state of Pennsylvania
Active and current Federal DEA number
Active and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Clinical ability to suture lacerations, drain abscesses, read x-rays and start IVs
Prior urgent care or emergency room experience a plus
Active and current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification a plus
Active and current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification a plus
Comfort and experience treating patients of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics
High-energy individual with a professional appearance and attitude
Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working with electronic medical records
